Dispensing pumps provide precise quantities

A Hi-Tech Machinery product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 24, 2004

The Hibar Precision Metering Pump is extremely accurate, robust, fast, powerful and self-contained.

Hi-Tech Machinery has been supplying precision dispensing pumps to the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries for more than 15 years.

Acting as the European Sales Office for Hibar Systems of Toronto, Hi-Tech has gained extensive experience with a wide range of applications.

"Our success is no secret and is due to the excellent performance of the Hibar equipment", says Hi-Tech Sales Manager Jim O'Neill.

The basis of the Hibar range is the Hibar Precision Metering Pump which is extremely accurate, robust, fast, powerful and self-contained.

The pumps have evolved over the years and sealless ceramic designs have been introduced to compliment the original ranges.

These will be of particular interest to the pharmaceutical industry but there are many industrial uses for an extremely accurate dispenser which has only one moving part.

Especially one with no seals, abrasion and chemically resistant contact parts and independent servo control of fill speed, recharge speed, and filling profile.

Originally designed more than 25 years ago for major US battery producers, the Hibar pump is proclaimed the "industry standard" for filling liquid and gel electrolyte.

Its accuracy, repeated over millions of cycles, is critical to the high and extended power performance we all expect from the wide range of batteries on which we now depend.

Now, other industries are happy to accept the trouble free operation and major cost savings such performance can provide and Hi-Tech is kept very busy by the worlds major national and multinational companies, supplying precision filling solutions to food, pharmaceutical, household, toiletry, cosmetic, dairy, chemical and electro-technical industries.

Capable of dispensing from 1ul up to 2 litre, pumps from the Hibar range have been installed as filling modules on a wide range of existing equipment dispensing many types of product into sachets, pouches, cans, bottles, jars, blister packs and ready meal trays.

Equally, the Hibar pump is perfectly at home in "pump on a stand" format for small scale production or R and D applications.

Where higher output and maximum flexibility is required, fully automatic continuous motion or intermittent filling machines are operating in six, eight or ten head configuration.

Equipment from Hi-Tech and Hibar will provide a well-engineered and cost effective solution to any filling application.

As well as direct customer supply, Hi-Tech also provides OEM equipment to major producers of thermoform machines, vertical FFS machines, horizontal FFS machines, aerosol filling machines and other manufacturers, giving their own customers the advantages associated with clean, trouble free, precision dispensing.

The full range of Hibar pumps will be on show at the Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition at the UK NEC from 29th March to 1st April in Hall 5 on Stand 5476.
