Fasteners find distribution in Northern Ireland
Alcoa Fastening Systems has appointed County Antrim's KES Agencies as sole distributor for the region.
Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS) has appointed County Antrim's KES Agencies as sole distributor for the region.
AFS engineers high-quality, high-performance fastening systems for a variety of applications predominantly in the truck, trailer, commercial vehicle body builder, auto and railcar markets.
KES Agencies supplies fastening solutions to companies manufacturing quarry equipment such as screening and crushing machinery, including Powerscreen International and JMF Fabrications.
Robert Allen MD at KES said: "Our initial contact with AFS was after Powerscreen requested we research Huck fasteners as a means of addressing potential extreme vibration damage on their stone crushing machinery.
As the result of a successful application, we are now reviewing some other specialist fastening requirements for Powerscreen.
Selling Huck fasteners as opposed to nuts and bolts has proved to be a much better market financially for us.
We recently moved to larger premises and will be looking to employ more staff very soon".
Dean Bradley, UK Customer Manager for AFS, said: "Historically, we've had trouble covering the Northern Ireland sales area.
However, through a strong distributor like KES we will not only be able to reach their existing customers but also new markets and applications.
It's very exciting to have Robert and the KES team onboard".
