An Austrian business, which started distributing a UK company's products two years ago, has seen an increase in sales of 220% in that product line.
An Austrian business, which started distributing a UK company's products two years ago, has seen an increase in sales of 220% in that product line.
Located in Asten near Linz, Koenig Austria, is part of the original Swiss Koenig group which established an Austrian headquarters 12 years ago.
The company specialises in providing solutions for abnormal fastening systems; with a product mix, covering components for riveting, self clinch fasteners, stud welding, as well as latches and construction fasteners, and including its own Koenig-Expander designed specifically for the auto industry.
Huck fasteners is a brand of Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS), which engineers high-quality, high-performance fastening systems for a variety of applications predominantly in the trailer, commercial vehicle body builder, railcar, truck and auto markets.
The initial relationship with AFS began over four years ago when Koenig was considering how to fit the Huck range into its various product groups.
After a distribution agreement in 2001, the company now sells a mixture of fasteners to various industries, for example, C50L, C6L and Magna-Grip for rubble-grading-machine manufacturers.
Stephan Puxkandl, Managing Director at Koenig, explains: "Koenig's philosophy is based on efficient partnership, customer orientated thinking from innovative design ideas to technical sales, and quality products.
Some of our customers had previously been sold inferior Huck copies by other suppliers, leading to massive quality problems on their side.
They are now glad to have regained the assurance to be supplied the highest quality teamed with professional local support.
The combination of our strict quality assurance, the supply of original Huck fasteners and the service support from AFS has resulted in the increasing sales figures".
Ludwig Frank, Customer Manager in Germany for AFS said: "Koenig are a model distributor for us.
