A Shropshire manufacturing company has recruited a new Marketing Executive with the aim of achieving a 100% increase in turnover by 2007 for one of its pan-European brands.

Telford based Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS) has appointed Nicola Kelly to manage marketing and sales for its Recoil brand product line.

Recoil fastener products are high-quality, high-performance, easy-to-install threaded inserts, taps and installation tools.

Used to repair damaged or create strong new screw threads, they accommodate a variety of applications in the automotive aftermarket, electronics, power generation and transportation industries.

Kelly, 24, graduated from Wolverhampton University in 2001 with a BA honours degree in marketing management and previously worked as a Commercial Support Manager at Culina Logistics.

Through market research and sales analysis, and using promotional tools such as literature, exhibitions and displays her new role is to develop and implement a European marketing strategy for Recoil.

Excited about the prospects, Kelly said: "I am looking forward to the challenge of raising Recoil's profile to develop new leads as well as maintaining awareness with our current customers".

"AFS is a professional and dynamic business - the perfect working environment in which I may contribute to securing our future aims and objectives".

Commenting on Kelly's appointment, AFS Marketing Manager Jay Sahadew said: "Nicola impressed us during her interview, where she out-shone the other candidates".

"Her combined enthusiasm, excellent qualifications and experience will make her a great asset to the company".
