A UK manufacturing company has combined two of its most popular maintenance repair products into a kit format for the European market after a positive response to the idea from existing customers The Recoil brand product line from Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS), are used to repair damaged or create strong new screw threads and accommodate a variety of applications in the electronics, power generation, transportation industries and in this instance where the research took place - the automotive aftermarket

The new Recoil "Combi Kit" contains the unique Rethred 21 and 22 as well as Studsaver.

Rethred is a tap application used, for example, to restore a nut's thread and Studsaver, guided by existing thread, is used to re groove the damaged section of a bolt.

Both contain floating steel blades that adjust to varying sizes of application, thus avoiding time consuming thread measurement.

With a retail book price of GBP 110.00 and a 12 month guarantee on the products Nicola Kelly, Marketing Executive at AFS, feels the package is good value for money.

She said: "From the research it made sense for us to develop the Combi Kit".

"Our customers frequently found that where they were utilising one of the products they invariably required the other".

"These versatile tools can be used for a number of internal and external thread repair applications in an industrial as well as a domestic capacity".

"The high quality steel also allows for a long service life and due to the adjustable floating blades, no thread measurement is necessary which also saves time". Request a free brochure from Alcoa Fastening Systems ...
