30-year-old Griffiths holds a BA (Hons) degree in management and manufacturing systems from the University of Central England.
Prior to joining AFS he was a self employed contract manufacturing engineer, predominantly in the automotive sector, and worked on projects for Jaguar and Land Rover.
He has already put a number of processes in place to increase ABS awareness with AFS employees as well as establishing a model cell on the shop floor to monitor and adjust operational equipment effectiveness.
Having worked in the environment from the age of 16, Griffiths has a passion for manufacturing.
He said: "I'm sure the experience I bring to AFS will help achieve their business objectives over the next few years and beyond".
"Although challenged by the company's rapid growth ABS is a successful system I aim to integrate into our every day working lives, ultimately understood and appreciated by every employee".
Commenting on Griffiths' appointment, AFS Manufacturing Manager Stephan Biela said: "Employing someone in a full time position such as Jonathan's is normally undertaken by much larger companies".
"There are only 100 employees at the Telford site so this is a bold step and shows the commitment AFS has to the continuous improvement practice".
"He has a wealth of experience and expertise and his appointment is another step to strengthening our position as a leading manufacturer". Request free introductory details about products from Alcoa Fastening Systems ...
