Tooling installs nonstructructural rivets

An Alcoa Fastening Systems product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 29, 2007

Alcoa Fastening Systems' Marson V-series tooling is aimed at low-volume rivet users like assembly practitioners, coachbuilders and fabricators.

Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS) has received a positive response to its range of Marson V-series tooling launched in March.

Aimed at low-volume rivet users like assembly practitioners, coachbuilders and fabricators, the V-series includes three models: V-2/79014, V-3/70950 and V-4/79060.

Used to install 2.4 to 6.4mm diameter nonstructural rivets in all materials, the three products are CE-approved and have an AFS 90-day warranty.

Competitively priced, the V-series tools are available to order through AFS distributors.

Dan Starbuck, MD at Star Fasteners, said: "A logical extension to the AFS range, the V-series has found a niche in the market for competitively priced tooling".

"Historically, similar products have had a limited shelf life".

"However, as a result of AFS' insistence on quality the V-series is exceeding expectations".

"Star Fasteners are generating healthy sales and have received positive comments from a variety of customers including small vehicle repairers, commercial body builders, sheet metal workers and even a company that erects marquees".
