The military-grade construction EN Series environmental-sealed limit switch withstands the extreme environmental conditions found in such demanding applications as aircraft landing gear and flap/stabiliser controls, aircraft engine thrust reversers, space vehicles and marine valves.

The EN Series is environmentally sealed (symbol 4) to MIL-PRF-8805.

It also has MIL-PRF-8805 QPL listings, thus providing established criteria for qualification.

The EN Series has: a stainless-steel housing for use in tough environments; a wide operating temperature range of -54 to +85C; high electrical load capacity (1 to 15A resistive), which means the switch does not require a separate source for operation; options of top plunger, top roller plunger, top rotary actuators - the top plunger and roller plunger actuators have an internal ice scraper ring; leadwire, leadwire with connector, screw, side or bottom receptacle terminations allow flexibility in electrical connections; SPDT or DPDT contact configurations; and a package size of 114.3 x 28.58 x 25.4mm.

In addition to the standard sizes, miniature housing constructions are available with similar actuator styles.

The miniature versions meet the demand for smaller size and lighter weight without sacrificing performance or electrical capacity.

The miniature version housing is 7.92mm smaller in diameter and weighs 14.2g less than the standard version.

The EN Series may also be customised to meet user application requirements.
