Hybrid linear actuator is accurate and durable
HSI's Size 17 hybrid linear actuator is the newest addition to an extensive line of award winning miniature motors.
Shaft to leadscrew couplers are not needed with this design thus saving time during application assembly.
The external linear actuator replaces four different components: a motor, coupler, leadscrew and nut.
The external nut on the external linear actuator uses the same high-performance engineering thermoplastics as the rotor drive nut of HSI's noncaptive and captive designs.
This feature ensures trouble free, exceptional long life operation for use in high precision applications.
Resolutions range from 0.00012 to 0.00192in/step.
A standard external linear has 6.0in of visible leadscrew, however leadscrew dimension and termination, as well as external nut design, can be customised to fit application requirements.
These motors are ideal for applications where there is limited space behind the motor for a through-screw design.
Typical applications include valve control, x-y tables, medical equipment, semiconductor handling and telecommunications equipment or wherever precise positioning, rapid motion and long life are needed.
