Meter takes viscosity measurement to the
field

A portable viscometer is making wellhead viscosity measurement a lot easier for one of the world's leading oilfield services companies.

The Hydramotion Viscolite portable viscometer is making wellhead viscosity measurement a lot easier for one of the world's leading oilfield services companies Viscosity is a key parameter when determining flow rates for the oil/water/gas mixtures recovered at the oilfield

"The Viscolite is quick and easy to use", commented one of the engineers involved in viscosity monitoring at a site in the Middle East.

"We save a lot of time".

"And it is also accurate, as we have checked with fluids tested in external laboratories".

The battery-operated Viscolite is a fully portable viscometer covering the range 0-10,000cP at temperatures up to 125C.

Maintenance is virtually nil as the sensor is a solid 316 stainless steel probe with no delicate or expensive accessories and no moving parts to wear out or fail in service.

Operation is simplicity itself - the probe is immersed in the sample and viscosity is displayed immediately on the readout unit.

After use, the probe is just wiped clean.

The whole system is supplied in a robust carrying case for ease of storage or transport.

Previous instruments were awkward to handle, vulnerable to damage, and unable to cope with the viscosity range involved (from below 1 to above 3000 centipoise).

Now, using the Viscolite, viscosity measurement has become a rapid routine matter, producing savings in both time and equipment. Request a free brochure from Hydramotion ...
