Viscometer deals with small samples

A Hydramotion product story

The Viscolite VL700HP-T15 is capable of measuring fluid volumes down to just 10ml

Hydramotion has released a small-sample version of its Viscolite VL700HP laboratory viscometer.

The Viscolite VL700HP-T15 is capable of measuring fluid volumes down to just 10ml.

The mains-powered bench top Viscolite combines the benefits of the popular portable model - ease of use, reliability and minimal maintenance - with the added advantages of a 4-20mA analogue viscosity output and an RS232 serial data link for connection to a PC in the laboratory.

As with the portable model, operation of the VL700HP-T15 is quick and easy.

The solid rod sensor is simply immersed in the fluid under test and viscosity is immediately displayed on the dedicated readout unit.

After use, the probe can be cleaned in seconds.

With a temperature range of -40 to +150 C, the VL700HP-T15 has very high sensitivity and excellent repeatability, even at low viscosity.

Both the bench top and portable small-sample models include an integrated temperature probe and temperature-correction software.

This allows measurements to be taken ad hoc without having to control the temperature of the sample.

With no moving parts, no accessories and no need for recalibration, the Viscolite is virtually maintenance-free.
