Fluid viscosity measurement comes online
Once a mainstay of laboratory analysis, fluid viscosity measurement has now been brought on-line in the shape of XL Series Process Viscometers from Hydramotion.
This upgrade widens the variety of applications for the Hydramotion XL7 while simultaneously enabling the company to streamline its range of high-temperature viscometers, as the new XL7-HT2 can be used as a drop-in replacement for either of the earlier HT2 and HT3 models.
The new high-temperature viscometer can also be supplied in an intrinsically safe version certified to ATEX Ex II 1G for Zone 0 hazardous areas (Class 1 group 1 Div A).
If hooked up to a PRT or a temperature transmitter, any XL7 viscometer can be configured to display viscosity corrected to a standard reference temperature.
The XL7 sensor always operates at the fluid temperature, thus eliminating potential errors from localised cooling of the fluid.
It is suitable for applications as diverse as oil blending, polymer production or specialty chemicals processing.
It is a field-hardened device with no moving parts, requiring no on-site calibration and virtually no maintenance. Request a free brochure from Hydramotion ...
