Need to position precisiely in high vacuum?
Precision linear motion systems for ultra high vacuum conditions (UHV) have been introduced by Heason Technologies Group.
Direct drive motors are a new solution for industrial motion control applications that require high torque, flat profile and maintenance-free operation.
Typical applications are rotary tables, robots and semiconductor processing equipment.
A key advantage of the Kollmorgen GoldLine DDR motor is that it eliminates mechanical parts (such as belts/pulleys and gearboxes) and the backlash and inconsistencies that are associated with these transmissions.
It mounts directly on the machine for a flat, compact and quiet design.
In addition, the motor provides a large diameter hollow shaft for fluid, pneumatic or electrical feed-throughs.
The motor offers peak torque ratings from 17Nm to 305Nm (12.5 lb-ft to 225.0 lb-ft).
Frame sizes are available from 175mm to 285mm.
When matched with Kollmorgen's ServoStar CD amplifier, the system has wide speed and torque application.
The ServoStar CD digital amplifier has current ratings from 3 to 10 amps with an integrated power supply for 115 to 230 VAC operation.
Installation and setup are simplified with the use of MotionLink(r) for Windows software.
System analysis is performed through MotionLink with its built-in oscilloscope and monitoring functions.
According to Heason, direct drive technology is now becoming an alternative for many industrial applications, and that the Kollmorgen GoldLine DDR Series is a true gearbox/belt replacement because of its combination of high torque and high speed at a competitive price and delivery.
