Centre of soldering excellence
Henkel Loctite Adhesives announces that its facility at Hemel Hempstead is to be the designated 'Centre of Excellence' for Loctite electronics products
This will allow it to focus its resources on the high technology end of the product range, which includes solder pastes and fluxes The expanded technical facilities will enable the company to become more efficient and focussed in its product development programme
Commenting on the announcement Mark Hoshino, European sales manager said, "We are delighted that our Hemel Hempstead facility is being upgraded to Centre of Excellence status.
The only change for our customers will be an improved speed of response to their enquiries.
The arrangements for the ordering and distribution of products are unchanged".
The restructuring also includes the transfer of the company's cored wire manufacturing to its production facility in Ipoh, Malaysia, by January 2002.
