The revolutionary Loctite 55 sealing cord is now available in two pack sizes - the original 150m length and a new handy 50m measurement The sealing cord - which looks rather like dental floss - effectively replaces traditional methods of sealing metal and plastic threaded pipes such as PTFE tape, pastes and solvent drying compounds

The thin fibres are wound around the male threads of the joint and then cut using the sharp in-built edge.

The joint is sealed immediately and will last almost indefinitely.

The cord will even allow backing off if the assembly fittings don't align the first time.

Loctite 55 can be used on cast iron, steel, brass, copper, chrome, nickel-plated and galvanised surfaces, stainless steel and plastic.

What's more, its design is such that it will not shred or tear and cause blockage.

Loctite 55 carries EN751-2 Class Arp for the gas industry.

It is also listed for use with potable water up to 85C and meets BS6920 and carries KTW recommendation.
