Polyaquasol 7160 and Polyaquasol 5014 are water-based synthetic lubricants designed specifically for arduous metal forming operations.

Polyaquasol 7160 and Polyaquasol 5014 are water-based synthetic lubricants designed specifically for arduous metal forming operations The intention is to enable users to replace their traditional heavy chlorinated mineral oils, normally associated with this work, by offering high-film-strength polymers, surfactants and lubricity improvers

Component and machine cleanliness is a key component of Polyaquasol, resulting in large energy savings.

In addition, chemical costs are also cut because both products eliminate solvent degreasing, which extends cleaner life and ensures savings in "downstream" washing.

Often components produced using Polyaquasol can be cleaned with the usual plant pretreatment process and then welded without the need for degreasing at all.

Both Polyaquasol 7160 and 5014 can be diluted with water by up to 10 parts or used neat depending on the severity of the metal forming operation.

Production costs are further reduced by promoting cleaner dies, less die wear, lower scrap rates and ultimately, a significant reduction in disposal costs.

Overall, Polyaquasol is safer to use, being free from mineral oil, chlorine and added sulphur.

Even at relatively low concentrations the built-in highly effective corrosion inhibitors provide a good level of protection.

Although both products are designed for arduous metal forming operations, Polyaquasol 5014 is particularly suited for use with steel, brass, copper or zinc coated components.

It doesn't stain either copper or brass, or electrocoated and hot dipped zinc work.
