Loctite adhesives achieve safety certification

A Henkel Loctite Adhesives product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 21, 2009

Henkel's Loctite 2400 and 2700 threadlocking adhesives have qualified for a white Material Safety Data Sheet.

This means that according to the tough EC Regulations 1907/2006 - ISO 11014-1, neither adhesive carries any hazard symbols, risk or safety phrases.

In addition, they do not contain any carcinogenic, mutagenic or reproductive toxins.

Loctite 2400 is fluorescent blue with a viscosity of 3000mPa and a shear strength on steel of 9N/mm.

The high-strength Loctite 2700 is fluorescent green, has a viscosity of 500mPa=C2=B7s and a shear strength of 18N/mm.

Once cured, both products offer excellent resistance against most industrial chemicals.

They achieve good thermal resistance, withstanding continuous operating temperatures up to 150C.
