Complete linear motion systems at Man
Week 2001
Whilst Hepco is introducing several new components at Manufacturing Week 2001, the stand will focus strongly on the company's ability to design and supply complete linear motion systems.

Screw jacks resist moisture and chemicals
The Z-series of screw jacks is available in a variety of sizes for lifting requirements up to 25kN and in four standard variants.
Hepco's entire range of products will be shown and the exhibition will also be the launch platform of the company's new 'Systems' capability catalogue.
The product additions include a new linear motion system for high temperature and vacuum applications.
Hepco is also introducing the UtiliTrak linear motion system with DualVee guidewheels and the elero* range of electric linear actuators.

Linear bearings resist glass dust
The all-steel slideway on the GV3 is three times stiffer than composite aluminium alternatives and this rugged construction makes it ideal for this type of heavy-duty application.
New modules within the Hepco-Winkel heavy-duty range will also be featured.
Hepco is believed to be the only European manufacturer of linear motion systems now offering an off-the-shelf linear motion system able to operate in high temperatures or in a vacuum.
The system, which includes a specially developed bearing and is compatible with the SL2 stainless steel range, will be shown for the first time at Manufacturing Week.
Thanks to the use of special grease, the high temperature bearings can operate continuously in temperatures up to 200C.
The same bearing is also suitable for vacuum applications with the use of special vacuum compatible grease.
DualVee technology has been available from Hepco for many years and is now featured on the UtiliTrak linear guide that is being introduced at Manufacturing Week.
This system is designed for applications where low cost and easy installation are the primary design objectives.
It combines high reliability with smooth, anti-friction operation.
Also new to the UK is the elero* range of electric linear actuators.
In addition to providing accurate positioning and constant stroke speed, they are mechanically self-locking and are virtually maintenance free.
Even suitable for extreme operating conditions, the elero actuators are available in five models suitable for speeds up to 110mm/sec and for loads from 0.01 - 200 kN.
Completing the list of new products from Hepco's Mechanical Products Division are the Hepco-Winkel Telescopic Fork Systems.
Introduced primarily for moving one metric tonne Euro-Pallets, the Systems are ideal for automated warehousing where forklift access is restricted.
As it is designed to be no wider than the pallet itself, the Telescopic Fork is ideal for operation in narrow aisles.
Its forks also extend bi-directionally through 180deg, eliminating any need for the mast to rotate. Request free introductory details about products from HepcoMotion ...
