Friction no barrier to linear motion
DualVee Motion Technology - DMT - has been successfully employed in industrial linear guidance applications for over 30 years.
DualVee Motion Technology - DMT - has been successfully employed in industrial linear guidance applications for over 30 years As an integral part of the Hepco product programme, it has proved a popular choice for anti-friction guidance mechanisms, typically in pick-and-place units and packaging machinery, where a simple cost effective linear system is required

Hepco takes on framework system
Whilst Hepco is not unique in marketing an aluminium frame building system, the fact that it is Europe's leading linear motion specialist adds considerable value to this modular product range.
With the recent relaunch of this proven and highly reliable range, Hepco has brought DualVee in line with its other product programmes by greatly extending the choice of options available.
New track and wheel sizes have been introduced as have high temperature, vacuum and clean-room compatible wheels and several new accessories - including wheel covers and lubricator assemblies - designed to extend system life.
The range caters for all requirements from light to heavy duty and components can be specified in stainless or carbon steel to suit the application.
Each DualVee system is built-up from three basic components - tracks, guide wheels and bushings - all of which can be individually supplied to give the user maximum design flexibility and overall cost effectiveness.
The system is based on a double row angular contact bearing arrangement.
In common with Hepco's standard vee technology, DualVee uses opposing concentric and eccentric bushings that provide a simple but effective means of adjustment for free-play and clearance between the track and guide wheels.
Rolling contact between wheel and track provides a constant self-cleaning action, making this extended range ideal for use in hostile environments.
Available in six standard sizes and either shielded or sealed to accommodate the required level of protection, DualVee is rated for speeds in excess of 8m/sec.
Accelerations of 3g can be achieved due to the circular raceway design and retained bearing construction.
By comparison with round or square rail recirculating ball guides, DualVee is 50% quieter and is also significantly cheaper to install as no ground surfaces are required.
Butt joining of the track is easily accomplished with DualVee enabling virtually any stroke length to be achieved.
The single edge tracks are available in four sizes and can be supplied in lengths up to 6m, either plain or predrilled as standard, or can be machined by Hepco to suit individual design requirements. Request a free brochure from HepcoMotion ...
