A special rubber coating called Vulkollan allows the Winkel speed and silent linear bearing system from Hepco to live up to its name.

A special rubber coating called Vulkollan allows the Winkel speed and silent linear bearing system from Hepco to live up to its name.

The coating is highly wear resistant and almost completely removes the noise created by the metal bearings running along the profile.

So popular has this product proved, that Winkel has now extended the series to meet a wider range of applications.

This maintenance-free system is capable of travel speeds of over 3m/s and is now available in sizes to provide bearing load capacities of up to 10kN radially and 3kN axially; 1900 and 600N were the previous maximum capacities.

The bearings are available with or without axial support.

The combined radial/axial bearings are supplied as standard with integral flange plates, profiles and fixing clamps for speedy installation.

For applications that require minimum clearance between the bearing and the profile, designers can also opt for the Winkel eccentric bearing.
