Screw jack system is smaller and
stronger

The HepcoMotion-ZIMM screw jack building block system has not just been expanded, it has been completely reviewed to include a higher order of technical innovation.

The HepcoMotion-ZIMM screw jack building block system has not just been expanded, it has been completely reviewed to include a higher order of technical innovation Its application potential as a result, has substantially increased

The system is more compact, yet it carries higher loads.

As well as a greater choice of standard screw jack body sizes, aluminium, stainless steel, plated or specialist bodies can be specified.

Safety nuts, anti-backlash mechanisms, ballscrews, actuators, stainless spindles, connecting shafts, linear measuring and encoding systems, lubrication, gearboxes and motors - the options have been considerably expanded to enable the optimum ZIMM configuration to be created.

From clean room to food to heavy duty and loads from 10kg to 100t, HepcoMotion-ZIMM now has the capacity to meet virtually every requirement.

This new system has many merits but one feature that sets ZIMM apart from its competition is its appearance.

Despite its strength and durability ZIMM is a very good-looking product and therefore ideal where design aesthetics are considered important.

Naturally all system components are compatible and available from a single source on short lead times; this saves the specifier time and cost.

As well as individual system elements, HepcoMotion will supply premounted units and assembly groups with or without motors.

Custom components and systems for specialist applications can also be supplied.

Highlights from the new range include the MSZ heavy-duty series with lifting capacity from 5 to 750kN.

Where lightweight is an issue, the new ZIMM aluminium screw jacks are now suitable for tension and compression loads of up to 25kN.

Both have a choice of standing or rotating screw.

All MSZ models can be supplied with a SIFA safety nut that provides unidirectional load protection.

In the unlikely event of the main nut failing, the safety nut will carry the full load.

A sensor may be specified that stops the system when it detects thread-wear in excess of 20% of the screw pitch.

Also available is a rotation sensor for mounting on the last gearbox of each drive chain.

Its role is to detect possible failure of any of the associated transmission components.

A further option for the MSZ series is an anti-backlash system.

This is a roller mechanism that allows the backlash between the spindle and the nut to be adjusted for greater accuracy.

Although this particular solution is only designed for low duty applications, HepcoMotion is also able to accommodate minimum backlash requirements for more demanding applications.

The new KGT ballscrew version with a range of pitches is a further addition to the product programme and designed for those requiring higher precision.

To accompany the introduction of what is effectively a new product range, HepcoMotion can supply a 152-page catalogue and designer's guide.

It is packed with application examples and selection checklists.

Also available from the HepcoMotion sales office are 3D CAD drawings of this extensive and innovative system. Request a free brochure from HepcoMotion ...
