Linear gantry systems made to order
The HepcoMotion HGS Gantry Solutions System enables a bespoke linear gantry system to be supplied as a kit of parts or made to order at the company's Tiverton factory.
Having developed a proven range of components that allow the easy creation of a heavy load slide system to suit just about any need, HepcoMotion set its designers the task of identifying elements for specific solutions The result of this further development is the introduction of the HepcoMotion HGS Gantry Solutions System

This extension of the Heavy Duty product programme enables a bespoke linear gantry system to be supplied as a kit of parts or made to order at the company's Tiverton factory.
In common with all HepcoMotion products, HGS provides an exceptionally wide choice for the designer.
Three basic support leg constructions are available to meet the requirements of most designs - cantilever, single and goalpost - and all are supplied with jacking screws to simplify levelling.

Linear bearings resist glass dust
The all-steel slideway on the GV3 is three times stiffer than composite aluminium alternatives and this rugged construction makes it ideal for this type of heavy-duty application.
For most applications the legs are made from 200mm square steel box section, painted to customer requirements.
Typical constructions incorporate a combination of three designs with lengths and heights specified to meet application needs.
There are three x-axis and three z-axis options with a generous selection of drive types.
The choice of a particular solution depends on the payload being carried, speed, accuracy of placement needed during the cycle and stroke distance.
The rack and pinion driven Heavy Duty HB25 beam for the x-axis and its compact counterpart, HB25C, have an unlimited stroke range and operate at up to 3m/s.
HB25 is available in lengths up to 20m and provides an option for a separate rack to increase the drive force.
The compact beam, available in lengths up to 10m, can be supplied with a smaller slide and bearings.
Both Heavy Duty beams can accommodate payloads up to 2250kg.
The third choice, the belt driven HDLS, has a stroke range of up to 10m and is suitable for loads up to 1500kg travelling at speeds up to 5m/s.
Beams up to 6m are available in one piece and the system comes complete with a choice of integrated AC geared motor.
All three x-axis solutions are supplied ready lubricated.
Many of the elements used as an x-axis can also be incorporated into the z-axis too but the HepcoMotion Z-axis choice extends beyond.
It also includes a ballscrew drive axis, a rack drive axis and a telescopic axis.
For high accuracy positioning of loads up to 1000 kg and strokes up to 3m, the ballscrew option is the ideal candidate.
It has an in-line motor attachment and can be specified with a choice of beams.
The rack and pinion driven option provides rigid z-axis mounting and also a choice of beam to suit the application.
Its stroke range is up to 3.5m and it can carry loads up to 300kg at up to 3m/s.
For light loads up to 60kg, the choice includes a telescopic axis.
This option features the Heavy Duty compact beam and has a two-stage telescopic action.
All elements are taken from the HepcoMotion standard Heavy Duty range but specials are also available to provide a custom solution that will meet exact application requirements. Request a free brochure from HepcoMotion ...
