Hansford vibration kit includes meter and probe

A Hansford Sensors product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 9, 2009

Hansford Sensors has launched the HS-620 Vibration Monitoring Kit, containing a compact, portable digital vibration meter operating with a hand-held probe.

It is designed for maintenance technicians to use to monitor vibration levels on important plant machinery, helping to find potential problems and avoid future plant failure.

The kit is designed for monitoring the trend of vibration levels on motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans and all rotating machinery.

Suitable as an entry-level unit for vibration monitoring, the meter's portability means that measurements can be taken in situ in remote parts of the factory.

Conforming to the ISO 10816-3 Machine Vibration Standard, the unit can measure bearing condition and levels of velocity, acceleration and displacement, covering any of the four ISO machine group options, ranging from large 300KW machines (Group 1) down to simple pumps rated at 15KW (Group 4).

It has a 'HOLD' facility where the display will indicate the alarm status shown as 'OK', 'Vibration Alert' or 'Danger'.

The vibration meter is powered by an internal rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery that can operate for 48 hours continuously.

Battery condition is displayed as an icon.

The unit comes complete with a mains-powered and an in-car battery charger.

The HS-620 kit, which is available ex-stock, includes the vibration meter, the hand-held probe, a magnetic mount, mains and in-car chargers, an instruction manual and a protective carrying case.
