Herga's patented self-calibrating Safe Edge systems ensure that the Safe Edge and control will continue to function correctly despite changes in ambient conditions or deformation of the sensor
Switch through walls - without holes
A novel switching technology is now available which means that it is possible to operate a switch on the other side of walls (50-100mm thick) without the need to drill holes.
The control ensures that the system will continue to function correctly despite changes in ambient conditions or deformation of the sensor.
The control can be supplied in circuit board format for inclusion in an existing control panel subject to being compatible with other equipment within the enclosure.
The EMC emissions from the control are well below the standards set by EN 50082-1, therefore the control will not interfere with other equipment within the control.
The programme in the control ensures that calibration takes place on 'power up' of the control and at regular intervals whilst the control is operating.
The sensitivity of the sensor can be set by the programme such that it cannot be altered by the customer.
For OEMs, herga can design custom systems that enable remote adjustment of the control by various means such as position, pressure or temperature switches.
Please discuss requirements with herga technical engineers.
The control is available to Safety Categories 1, 2 and 3 and is designed to meet the requirements of EN 418 , EN 954-1 , EN 50082-1, EN 50081-2 and EN 60204-1.
Summary of benefits: No adjustment of control at installation or during service - Small size low cost reliable control - Housings available to IP65 - Operating temperature range -20C and +70C - Constant sensitivity under all conditions - Reliable sensitivity as low as 20 Newtons - Compatible with all Hergalite sensors - Ideal for use with the range of Hergalite pressure sensitive edges.
