Cast vinyl film ideal for vehicle wraps

A Hexis USA product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 2, 2009

Hexis USA is to launch an enhanced cast vinyl film at the ISA International Sign Expo in Las Vegas, US, on 16-18 April 2009.

At the event, the company will show the cast film combined with Hex'Press air-release technology specifically designed for full vehicle wraps.

The enhanced HX100WG2 is a 2-mil cast vinyl film with a grey structured adhesive compound that makes the product repositionable during application allowing easy elimination of creases and air bubbles.

The HX100WG1 is designed for solvent and eco-solvent inkjet printers and features an embossed PE liner and a conformable vinyl formulation that makes it suitable for printed vehicle wraps.

The HX100WG1 comes in rolls 148ft long and 54in wide.

Also on show will be the HX20000, a double-layered 3-mil cast vinyl film with a solvent-based adhesive and a structured PE liner with Hex'Press technology that allows convenient air egress during application.

Because of its flexibility and conformability, Hexis USA said the film enables fast and risk-free transfers.

It is particularly recommended for long-term outdoor applications and for full vehicle wraps.

The HX20000 features an outdoor durability of up to 10 years and is therefore ideal for corrugated or riveted surfaces and all substrates with long life cycles.

The colours of the HX20000 are based on those of the Suptac S5000 series.

Therefore, colour matching the two series on the same project is simple, the company said.

The HX20000 is available in 33 high-gloss colours.

The roll size is 98.5ft long and 54in wide.
