OPC to revolutionise industrial software market
Hexatec is taking the radical approach of providing free development software for its latest Scada offering, Saturn.

Jamieson admits the role of software engineer is still dominated by men: "Although it is unusual to meet female software engineers, numbers are slowly increasing.
I like the job because it appeals to my sense of logic.
I am continually being presented with problems that need solving and I get tremendous satisfaction from finding a solution".
Dick Haycock, Hexatec director says, "Lynn's appointment is an important part of our long-term growth strategy to provide value-added services to clients already using our process and control software.
Her expertise in the creation and management of relational databases will be beneficial to existing customers who need to see their manufacturing data in a more digestible, easy-to-read format.
From now on, we will be able to extract client data from Hexatec software and organise it within a Sequel server database.
This allows us to highlight key information easily and calculate values automatically, such as minimum, maximum and average temperatures.
The information can even be prepared in report format for management if required".
