Two well-established and trusted suppliers of industrial automation systems have joined forces to offer utility companies a single turnkey process control solution Hexatec Systems, a provider of high quality industrial automation software and services and Intellect Site Services, software engineer, panel designer and manufacturer, have formed a strategic partnership to offer a one-stop shop for all the process automation needs of utility companies, from plant to board room

Dick Haycock, Director of Hexatec said, "Intellect will take care of the hardware instrumentation and electrical design of the control panel, including the PLC and associated I/O points, plus design of the installation.

Hexatec will use the information generated by the PLC and put it into a format that is relevant and user friendly for operation staff and management.

We also offer a complete control room design, build and project management service.

Bill Castelow, Director of Intellect said, "The Hexatec and Intellect teams have independently completed hundreds of successful process automation projects for large and blue chip organisations including Scottish Power, Scottish and Southern Energy, PowerGen and National Power.

More recently we have worked together on a large-scale project for Manx Electricity Authority where we jointly delivered a complete turnkey solution from sensor and field wiring through to management information, including the design and build of a brand new control room".

Haycock concludes, "It makes sense to formalise this arrangement so that utility companies can benefit from high levels of process automation expertise, from one central point.

It's totally seamless and hassle free for the customer".
