Two new additions to Heyco's range of PCB accessories are the SHCBS and SRF series of nylon circuit board spacers which, when used as a pair, provide a secure hinging mechanism for a mounted PCB.
Two new additions to Heyco's range of PCB accessories are the SHCBS and SRF series of nylon circuit board spacers which, when used as a pair, provide a secure hinging mechanism for a mounted PCB.
The hinge action allows easy access to aid maintenance of components hidden beneath the PCB or mounted on its underside.
The flexible clip mechanism on the SHCBS spacers also allows fast and simple removal and refitting of the mounted PCB yet still provides a secure fixing while the board remains in place.
The SHCBS and SRF series spacers are both available separately.
It is using them together, though, which offers the major benefit of easy release from the SHCBS spacers on one side of the board while the SRF spacer opposite allows the board to be raised through 90 degrees.
Snap-fit installation of both parts eliminates the need for screws and rivets thus helping to achieve dramatic reductions in assembly time.
Parts are moulded in self-extinguishing nylon to UL94V2 or halogen-free UL94V0 ratings in order to comply with the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
