Bushings handle wires and cables up to
15.24mm

A new generation of Round Double D (RDD) Lockit self-locking strain relief bushings provide lasting strain relief against twisting and pulling for round wires and cables up to 15.24mm in diameter.

A new generation of Round Double D (RDD) Lockit self-locking strain relief bushings provide lasting strain relief against twisting and pulling for round wires and cables up to 15.24mm in diameter, and are now available in eight UL designations categories Used in many different electrical wire and cable applications, the RDD Lockit snaps into place, reducing assembly time and cost

New additions to the range are RDD101A, RDD401 and RDD501, for cables from 3.18 to 15.24mm.

RDD Lockit has a proprietary five-step locking mechanism that accommodates a range of chassis thicknesses up to 3.18mm.

This increase in the range means eight UL designation categories, and eight different cable types are now be covered.

Double flat sides on the RDD Lockit protect current-carrying wires from twisting and other natural or inadvertent stresses that cause electrical failure.

It prevents the cable from turning in standard round or double-D holes in electrical cabinets, panels and enclosures.

RDD Lockit gives constant strain relief against twisting, pulling, cord pulsing or gravity in large and small appliances, power tools, consumer and industrial electronics, motor housings, lighting fixtures or any other electrical assembly prone to the stresses of pull, push or twist.

"RDD Lockit is convenient to use as it can be fitted into place easily using ordinary electrical pliers", says Andrew Fletcher, Technical Director, Heyco.

"This makes it easier for the installer to use which reduces assembly time and cost.

It locks in place directly without the need for chassis insertion and can be preassembled onto cables to save time in high volume applications".

RDD Lockit strain-relief bushings are moulded in high-impact Type 6/6 nylon at Heyco's facilities in New Jersey, USA.

Bushings conform to ASTM standard D-4066-PA111 and have a flammability classification of UL94V2.

They can withstand temperatures up to 105C and are UL listed and CSA certified. Request a free brochure from Anixter Components ...
