Plastic components and cable accessories supplier Heyco has extended its comprehensive range of liquid tight fittings and cable glands with the launch of Heyco-Tite.

Heyco-Tite offers improved cable strain relief thanks to a new annual locking finger design which compresses a rubber gland to form a water-tight seal without causing damage to the insulation.

Heyco-Tite is available in standard metric thread, flex-protecting and right-angled versions.

The unique design of the right-angled fitting reduces the number of possible leak paths when compared with some conventional 90-degree cable glands where the addition of an O-ring is required in the fold of the elbow.

"With more than 35 years experience of supplying cable glands and fittings to industry Heyco understands design engineers' requirements".

"Heyco-Tite is a welcome addition to our catalogue of more than 10,000 plastic components".

"The practical design features and durability make the range an ideal choice for any cable or pipe application where protection from environmental conditions such as the ingress of liquids including salt water, weak acids, petrol, oil, grease, alcohol and common solvents is vital", comments Andrew Fletcher, Technical Director, Heyco.

Other products in Heyco's comprehensive liquid tight fittings and cable gland range include nylon and nickel plated brass cable glands in metric, Pg and NPT threads which accommodate cables from 2.0 to 44.0mm diameter, the one piece nylon Herbie Clip hose fastener with a double row of interlocking teeth for a secure but adjustable fit and the unique Multigate grommet plate for sealing several cables or pipes through one aperture in the cabinet housing.
