Karim Sekkat, Executive Chairman of KAS Technologies, stated: "The niche positioning of Holifields is optimal.
Our strategy will be to build on the success of this customer-focused subcontracting business by overlaying the established engineering skills and entrepreneurial culture with a higher degree of professional management.
Barry's invaluable knowledge remains with the company and will ensure that the change of ownership is consolidated seamlessly".
He continued: "Holifields is known for providing its long-established customer base with products and solutions that exactly meet their needs.
Over half of contracts involve stocking customers' parts, kits and assemblies on consignment at Abingdon, and 90% is repeat business.
The high level of service has been underpinned by heavy investment in both personnel and machinery, and this will be maintained".
Barry Holifield added: "I am confident that Karim's drive, vision and business acumen will further the development of Holifields so that it can continue to meet the challenges of today's global marketplace".
