For damage free transfer of delicate produce, Hidrostal screw centrifugal impeller pumps are now being used in a number of food manufacturing plants instead of the more usual conveyor belt system.

Food processing companies need an efficient method of gently transferring food, whether fresh fruit and vegetables or delicate processed products, from one point to another.

Pump specialist Hidrostal has developed a transport system, using innovative pumping technology, that is now being applied in a number of food manufacturing plants.

For damage free transfer of delicate produce, Hidrostal screw centrifugal impeller pumps are now being used instead of the more usual conveyor belt system.

The Hidrostal pump's single spiral vane screw centrifugal impeller gradually accelerates the produce to its destination.

The pump's large free passage, and low shear effect, makes it an ideal tool for gently transferring whole fruit, vegetables or processed food without damage.

Gentle handling when transporting delicate produce such as; chipped potatoes, peas, grapes or even live fish, is vital.

Pumping viscous products at high temperatures also poses no problems to the robust Hidrostal pumps.

The pumps are very easy to maintain and clean, as well as being safe to operate.
