Specialist pump rental company buys six fully mobile pump sets to add to its fleet of pumps and to create a niche market.

Exsel Pumps, a specialist pump rental company, has purchased six fully mobile Hidrostal Betsy pump sets to add to its fleet of pumps and to create a niche market.

The Betsy diesel driven self priming units were selected for their efficiency, performance and environment friendly design in terms of energy consumption and noise emissions.

Richard Smith, Managing Director, Exsel, said: "All businesses have a role to play - or a duty of care - in protecting the environment and I believe the Betsy pump provides our clients with possibly the most environmentally friendly pump currently available".

"The whole design of Betsy has been well thought through and is environmentally sound".

"It runs very quietly and is unbelievably fuel efficient because the highly efficient Hidrostal wet end requires a much smaller engine than other manufacturers would need to power comparable models with similar performance".

"The fully bunded chassis eliminates any possibility of pollution caused by dripping on to the ground".

"As an added bonus it is also perfect for a wide variety of applications from pumping thick sludges, wellpoint dewatering to pumping the more difficult substances such as bentonite".

"I feel very confident that the first customers that have used the Betsy will not remain in the minority for long".
