A Hidrostal product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 17, 2006

Hidrostal has shuffled its pack, with company founder Derek Jackson moving to a new position as Chairman and Steve Blakemore becoming Managing Director.

Hidrostal has shuffled its pack at director level, with company founder and Managing Director Derek Jackson moving to a new position as Chairman and former Sales Director Steve Blakemore becoming Managing Director.

Jackson has been with Hidrostal since 1980, building the business to become a GBP 6 million turnover enterprise.

He now feels the time is right to reduce his working hours, and the duties of the new chairman will permit this.

He explains: "My new job will free me from the day to day running of the business, whilst allowing me to concentrate on product and business development issues together with representing Hidrostal at various external industry committees".

Steve Blakemore, the new Managing Director, has over 25 years industry experience in business development and senior management including the position of MD.

He is looking forward to the new challenge: "I wish Derek every success in his new role; I thank him for his expertise and dedication in making Hidrostal the company it is today".

"Derek's legacy as MD is excellent people, market leading products, loyal clients and an ongoing investment programme for the future".

"Our customers can be assured they will receive the same high level of commitment, expertise and quality of service under my leadership".
