Profinet cable tester available from Hi-Port

A Hi-Port Software product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 6, 2009

The Procentec PN1 handheld Profinet cable tester is now available from Hi-Port Telecom.

The small and robust instrument is able to quickly verify the condition of Profinet cables after assembly and installation.

Specially designed for Profinet and industrial environments, the instrument is easy to use, with just one key-press needed for result display, with continuing updates.

Test failure reports clearly indicate the problem type and which wires/pins are affected.

The tester can be used on many different Ethernet cable types, including two-pair and four-pair shielded cables, and for co-ax and telephone cables.

It shows shorts, broken wires or screen, crossed wires, swaps, mis-wiring and split pairs.
