Switches stand up to industrial networking
The MICE family is a new range of manageable, modular Ethernet and Fast Ethernet industrial switches setting new standards in industrial Ethernet networking.
Hirschmann's products that have met Germanischer Lloyd's stringent requirements for maritime use include the RT1-TP/FL and RT2-TX/FX transceivers, the RH1-TP, RH1-TP/FL and RH2-TX hubs, as well as the RS2-TX switch and Navy versions of the RS2-TX/TX and RS2-FX/FX switches.
The RS2-TX/TX and RS2-FX/FX switches support Hirschmann's Hiper-Ring redundancy that provides high availability through self-healing ring redundancy.
The switches also offer SNMP and integrated web-based management functions.
The user-friendly configurations, as well as the comprehensive network and device information provided by the switches, help speed commissioning and further ensure high system availability.
The rail products easily mount on standard DIN rails.
The redundant 24V power supply is provided via a plug-in terminal block, which also houses an additional contact.
This additional contact enables device status messages to be read as process data, so operating states are easily acquired and problems within the system are quickly routed to the operator.
