Hima-Sella installs Himax at UK refinery

A Hima-Sella product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 9, 2009

Hima-Sella has completed the first UK installation of Himax at a major refinery.

Based on Hima's XMR technology, Himax offers non-stop operation and high levels of redundancy and fault tolerance without restriction, and at safety integrity level 3 (SIL 3).

The system is highly scalable and complements Hima's safety controllers, Hiquad and Himatrix.

All safety-critical applications in the process industry can be implemented with Himax including emergency shutdown systems (ESD), burner management systems (BMS), fire and gas systems (FandG), turbo machinery control (TMC), or pipeline automation.

Himax has flexible system architecture, various rack sizes, different assembly and wiring concepts, centralised and distributed installations, and can be adapted for virtually any application requirement.

Its flexibility allows for integration into any distributed control system (DCS) and by using open-standard protocols guaranteed by Hima, enables customers to choose the best DCS for their plant.

Hima-Sella is exhibiting Himax at SPE Offshore Europe 2009 in Aberdeen, alongside its latest product developments and technologies.
