With a central position at the UK's largest manufacturing event in 2006, Weldex is attracting large numbers of exhibitor enquiries and organisations are lining up to support the show and its initiatives.

These include specialist pavilions and a seminar programme, providing visitors with many reasons to come to the show and source their welding, fabrication and fastening needs.

Mike Vacher, Director of the Association of Welding Distributors (AWD) has welcomed recent announcements from the show's organisers.

"As an association who supports Weldex, we firmly believe that there should be an exhibition of quality in the UK so that exhibitors and end users don't have to travel abroad".

"Running Weldex next door to Subcon and Mach will bring a brand new audience to Weldex as there will be 30,000-40,000 visitors who will be looking for machine tools or be involved in Subcontracting that will also need welding and fabrication products".

He adds: "It will definitely make Weldex much more effective".

Another official supporter, publisher Frost and Sullivan, is equally excited about the show's prospects.

Research Analyst Titus Hocevar comments: "Weldex is an exhibition with an uniquely comprehensive coverage of welding and related activities that one can otherwise not find in the United Kingdom".

"It is the place to be for anyone who has a serious interest in the welding market in the United Kingdom".

Exhibitors travel from around the world to take part in Weldex and the American Welding Society (AWS) has long recognised its unique position among European industry events: "The American Welding Society is extremely pleased to be partnering with Weldex 2006 by sponsoring an American Pavilion at this prestigious exhibition".

Jeff Weber, Associate Executive Director, continues: "The UK is a prime market for welding and cutting products, and we recognise that Weldex draws a strong audience of committed decision makers from the metal fabrication and construction industries".
