The D Series of digital data recorders from Heim Data Systems features Ethernet compatibility.

The D Series of digital data recorders from Heim Data Systems features Ethernet compatibility With modular signal interfacing and interchangeable media cartridges, these recorders/reproducers provide highly flexible, modular solutions that can easily adapt to changing mission requirements in both airborne and mobile applications

The new Ethernet signal interface provides data acquisition from this popular bus in avionics and R and D applications.

Ethernet data can be concurrently acquired and accurately correlated with other data from PCM telemetry, avionics bus, sensor and video sources.

The D Series comprises two models.

With up to 20Mbit/s total system datarate for the D20f, and up to 200Mbit/s total system datarate for the D200f, these systems record and/or reproduce data using tape, rugged disk and solid-state drives.

Also, the D200f features an Ethernet control interface, permitting cost effective remote and networked configuration, operation and monitoring via local and distant host computers.

The media cartridges use a standard SCSI interface and can be changed at any time, allowing freedom of media choice throughout the life of the equipment.

Front-panel controls and the remote control interfaces give the user permanent access to configuration and control functions.

Bright alphanumeric displays provide confidence-boosting, real-time information about the I/O signals and the system.

The D20f and D200f are complete with an integral IRIG time code reader/generator, and can also synchronise to external IRIG and GPS time sources.

The packet recording system ensures accurate time tagging and consistent channel-to-channel phase relationships irrespective of signal type.

Systems compatible with the IRIG106 Chapter 10 data format standard will be available.
