HMK releases Siemens Hawkeye

A HMK Automation and Drives product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 3, 2008

The Siemens Hawkeye 1500 - a high-performance read device for many different two-dimensional (2D) codes and one-dimensional (1D) barcodes - is now available from HMK.

The stationary code reading systems can read printed, lasered, drilled, stamped or needled codes on many different surfaces.

Reading the codes is possible on moving and stationary parts independent of the orientation of the object (360deg).

Compact, all-in-one smart-camera configuration is used for ease of integration.

The Hawkeye has direct part-mark verification options for in-process mark quality monitoring.

Auto-photometry and auto-training accommodate a wide variety of parts without any parameter adjustments or programming.

A GUI (Graphical User Interface) provides advanced setup and remote monitoring of network readers.

Enhanced saved image diagnostics are included for archiving the highest possible read rates.

Quicset audio-visual alignment enables fast setup and changeover without a PC.
