Hamlin Electronics Europe will be revealing its latest Hall effect sensor technologies at the Mtec exhibition at the UK NEC on 11th and 12th February 2004.

The company, which is based in Diss, Norfolk, recently expanded its technology base and product portfolio by signing a long term preferred supplier agreement with pioneering Swiss Hall effect technology developer Micronas.

This partnership has resulted in the launch of a new, innovative range of sensors suitable for a broad range of applications.

Hamlin will be show casing its custom position and movement sensor solution development and manufacturing capabilities including examples of its many custom sensor products.

Hamlin's range of standard Hall effect sensors that includes two sizes of vane and flange sensors and a gear tooth sensor will also be shown.

These complement the company's extensive reed sensor product base and enable it to provide more options for a wider range of sensing applications.

Hamlin's new sensors can be installed in the harshest environments where the none-contact sensing element will provide an almost infinite number of operations.

The range is particularly durable, being shock resistant to 150g at 11ms, half sinewave, and vibration resistant to 50g at 50-2000Hz.

The sensors also incorporate reverse and overload protection and built-in temperature compensation.

Suitable for both industrial and automotive applications, they are used for a huge variety of applications from simple position measurement such as window closed/open through to angle, rotational speed and current measurements.
