Honeywell has announced a realignment of sales management in its Fluorines business in Europe, adding further strength to its sector leadership.

Honeywell has announced a realignment of sales management in its Fluorines business in Europe, adding further strength to its sector leadership.

Leading the changes, Daniel Nott has been appointed Sales Manager Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for Fluorines.

Since joining Honeywell in 1999, Nott has held a number of senior positions.

Most recently he was Marketing Manager, Foam and Specialties business where he spearheaded the launch of the Enovate brand campaign for HFC-245fa.

Prior to that he held marketing posts with the company's Performance Fibers and its Transportation and Power businesses in the USA.

Nott holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, USA, and a bachelor degree in mechanical systems engineering from the University of Technology, Compiegne, France.

Paul Sanders has joined the Fluorines sales and marketing team and has taken over the position of Marketing Manager for Foam and Specialties business left vacant by the promotion of Daniel Nott.

Sanders is responsible for developing marketing strategies to further profitable growth, dealing with the region's environmental challenges and opportunities, and in particular for developing and expanding the market for Honeywell Enovate blowing agent in Western, Central and Eastern Europe.

He will also oversee the Technical Service team and field marketing efforts for the foam business.

Sanders joined the company from Rhodia where his work included the Business Management of Fluorinated Consumer Products, as well as fulfilling roles in site and asset management.

Earlier in his career he had spent a number of years in sales at Albright and Wilson.

Paul Sanders has a master's degree in chemistry from Sheffield University, UK.

Reporting to Sanders, Mario Maccarrone has been promoted to Field Marketing Analyst Foam from Sales Manager Foam for Southern Europe, a position he had held since 2003.

In his new role Maccarrone will work with customers to grow applications using Enovate blowing agent.

His primary focus will be on spray foam growth in Spain as that country tackles implementation of the Energy Performance for Buildings Directive and its Kyoto Protocol obligations.

Previously Maccarrone was instrumental in growing foam business in Southern Europe and was able to assist key Honeywell customers in their phase-out of ozone depleting HCFC-141b.

Before joining Honeywell, Maccarrone was Sales Manager in the commercial division of Eastern Europe at Afros Cannon, where he was responsible for the entire sales cycle, including contract negotiations and budget setting, for business in Poland and Russia.

Mario Maccarrone holds an engineering degree in industrial technologies, organisational and economic specialisation from the Polytechnic University of Milan and is a fluent Spanish speaker.

Dave Ferguson has joined the Fluorines Sales and Marketing team as a Technical Service Manager for the Foam business in EMEA.

Ferguson is responsible for providing technical support to customers in their rigid polyurethane and extruded polystyrene foam product development and manufacturing processes, including field trials.

He is tasked with identifying customer needs and, together with marketing, translating them into value-adding customer programs.

Before joining Honeywell, Ferguson was with Huntsman Polyurethanes (formerly ICI Polyurethanes) where his last assignment was Technical Manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa, responsible for organising and leading the company's pan-European Technical Service and New Product Development Team.

Earlier, as Application Leader for that region, he spent four years in Italy heading a team of chemists in the development of new products and technology.

Dave Ferguson has an honours degree in applied chemistry from Napier College, Edinburgh, UK, and is fluent in Italian.

The ongoing development of the Honeywell Fluorines team in Europe is a reflection of business growth and a demonstration of Honeywell's commitment to deliver to customers the highest level of qualified marketing and technical support currently available from any supplier in its industry sector.
