Guide to weld purging
A brand new edition of the "Guide to weld purging" has been published by Huntingdon Fusion Techniques.
Five quality control managers, five welding engineers and a number of specialist welders were present throughout a 2-day intensive advanced training session.
Huntingdon Fusion Techniques had been asked to demonstrate its Argweld quick purge systems, weld purge monitors and weld backing tapes, all of which impressed the trainees.
Of particular interest was a practical demonstration of the effectiveness of backing tape in reducing the time and cost of alternatives while allowing full control to be exercised over the weld underbead.
There was much enthusiasm for the potential of the quick purge concept in conjunction with the HFT custom-designed purge monitor.
Welding staff recognised the benefits of eliminating the possibility of residual oxygen contamination with all the attendant post weld costs incurred in rewelding and inspection.
The seminar was adjudged a great success and a second one is planned to which other welding and associated personnel will be selected to attend. Request free introductory details about products from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques ...
