Enclosures protect outdoor electrical assemblies

A Hoffman product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 24, 2006

Hoffman's WeatherFlo 3R enclosures have a filtered vent system and integral fan, designed to remove hot spots and heat build-up.

Responding to the industry trends of energy and cost-efficient drives becoming increasingly available, Hoffman introduces WeatherFlo 3R enclosures.

The WeatherFlo provides an off-the-shelf drive enclosure solution for HVAC integrators.

The enclosure is specifically designed to remove heat and protect outdoor electrical assemblies.

"WeatherFlo has the potential to reduce system design time by providing a tested enclosure solution", noted Hoffman Product Manager Glen Kampa.

"We believe by using WeatherFlo in their system design, integraters can spend less time on the enclosure solution and more time on other aspects of the installation".

Rated 3R for outdoor use, WeatherFlo is ideal as a drive enclosure assembly or in applications that have a large heat load and electronic controls sensitive to high temperatures.

The filtered vent system and integral fan are designed to remove hot spots and heat build-up.

Constructed of 16 and 14-gauge plated steel with a RAL 9003 white polyester powder finish and top vent solar shield for superior solar performance, WeatherFlo is available in six standard sizes and fan configurations to house three to 100 horsepower drives.
