Houghton has recruited a new Service Engineer in the North of England to meet the service needs of its customers in the region more effectively.

Houghton has recruited a new Service Engineer in the North of England to meet the service needs of its customers in the region more effectively.

Ed McCann joined the company at the beginning of October, to support a contract at Koyo Bearings in Barnsley in addition to visiting other customers in the north of the UK.

Having another engineer in the region will help to strengthen Houghton's service offering to its customers, improving response times and creating more time for engineers to stay on site to support customers with expertise and advice to ensure best practice management of Houghton fluids.

Previously, McCann worked as a process engineer improving machine downtime and work processes for a specialist manufacturing company.

He comments: "I chose Houghton because they are a well-established company with a strong focus on customer service".

"The role offered me the career advancement I was looking for and I look forward to becoming part of the Houghton team".

"The investment in Ed is part of our plan to provide a strong service and support team throughout the UK which enables our customers to concentrate on their core activities, we will be adding another Service Engineer in the South within the next few weeks", comments Steve Mayo, Sales and Marketing Director.
