The series 17 hollow shaft incremental encoder is certified to Cenelec standards with classifications for EEx ia IIC T4 for use in all zones/divisions and in the presence of any type of gas.

The series 17 hollow shaft incremental encoder is certified to Cenelec standards with classifications for EEx ia IIC T4 for use in all zones/divisions and in the presence of any type of gas.

It is certified as ATEX compliant (SIRA 00ATEX2085) fir use in areas where explosive gases/powders are continuously present and offers ingress protection to IP66.

Available in large shaft sizes up to 50mm, it provides a DIN19234 output to Namur standards switching from less than 1.2 to more than 2.1mA.

This current output provides excellent noise immunity over long cable runs.
