Brazilian office targets automotive expansion

Horton has opened an office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and has hired Humberto Monesi as Regional Manager in that office.

Horton has opened an office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and has hired Humberto Monesi as Regional Manager in that office.

Monesi will be responsible for sales and customer support for all truck, bus, off-highway and industrial market segments in South America.

"Our customers worldwide will benefit with enhanced support from Horton's new office in Brazil, as OEMs prepare for Euro III guidelines", says Jeff Lindgren, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Horton.

"We're pleased to have Humberto Monesi on our team in this growing global market".

Prior to joining Horton, Monesi was a Project Co-ordinator for Radiadores Visconde, an engine cooling and air conditioning system company in Sao Paulo.

His experience also includes positions as a product engineer in truck and bus operations at Volkswagen do Brasil; a Product Engineer in heat exchange advanced engineering at Calsonic Kansei Technology centre in Llanelli, South Wales, UK; and a Product Development Engineer in air conditioning and engine cooling systems in the South American regional headquarters of Delphi Automotive Systems do Brasil.

Monesi has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Escola Maua de Engenharia in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
