HQ series couplings are finished with a new 'high- impact' hardening process, which gives them a silver grey colour.

The H and HQ series of flat face couplings are engineered for longer life, greater durability and better flow characteristics They were designed to meet the new life test specified in ISO16028:1999/Amd.1:2006(E), which has increased from a hundred thousand to one million pressure pulse cycles

After successfully completing the one million cycle tests, inspection of the new couplings indicated they still had plenty of working life left.

An additional user benefit is a reduction in the pressure drop, which has been achieved by using 3D CAD to optimise the flow path.

Improvements range from 15 to 40%, which helps improve power transmission, increase operating efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

H series couplings have a zinc-plated finish and are ideal for general plant applications.

HQ series couplings are finished with a new 'high- impact' hardening process, which gives them a silver grey colour.

It helps make them more resistant to Brinelling, wear and corrosion.

These couplings pass the 200-hour salt spray test as stipulated by certain major OEMs.

HQ couplings are therefore particularly suited to high-pressure pulse applications such as excavator hammer circuits and demolition equipment.

Coupling sizes 3/8 to 1in will be introduced during April/May 2007 while the remaining sizes will complete the range from 1/8 to 2in and are scheduled for introduction during 2008/9.
