New name reveals parentage
Surrey-based Hounsfield Test Equipment now operates under the name of its American parent, Tinius Olsen.
Surrey-based Hounsfield Test Equipment now operates under the name of its American parent, Tinius Olsen.
The change will give access to lucrative American markets, generating additional revenue to continue the programme of quality improvements in products and services achieved by Hounsfield in recent years.
This one-brand approach will also make Tinius Olsen's comprehensive line-up of products easily available to UK and European customers - satisfying a much wider range of testing requirements across all sectors.
Some of these have already appeared during 2003 and the range and choice will continue to expand in 2004.
Customers supplying international markets will benefit from the improved feedback on standards and testing methods arising from closer co-operation between engineers working with standards organisations in the USA and Europe, while single company approval by UKAS, A2LA and other related bodies worldwide will make Tinius Olsen calibration certificates valid in any country.
