HPC Drives has extended its range of Drylin linear guides to include a rack-and-pinion option.

HPC Drives, of Chesterfield, has extended its range of Drylin linear guides to include a rack-and-pinion option This enables the system to be powered by the pinion assembly on the linear carriage or by the rack which is mounted on the aluminium rail

In this way the rotary motion of the pinion may be converted to linear motion and vice versa.

Manufactured from lightweight aluminium the guides are maintenance free, quiet in operation, and shock resistant.

They are said to be extremely robust and particularly well suited to applications such as general automation, printing and mechanical handling.
